Meera Song

I sailed
in a swing
into sleep

saw Him

–and all
unsung,
me asleep!

I rushed
to appease,
to greet

fell
into a deep
waking,

and lost him.

Those other
than me,
says Meera,

are blessed.
Their dreams
with lovers

begin when they wake.

Daylight
for Meera means
waiting till He

enter her dwelling and
make all things well.
